Over 350 companies expressed interest in being part of this edition of the 100 Best Companies for Women. The applications spanned every major industry, geographical location and line of business. AVTAR employed a robust data-protected analytics tool that took into account multiple aspects of the application.
The 2016 Working Mother and AVTAR 100 Best Companies is an extensive research driven process which includes application with more than 400 questions on leave policies, workforce representation, benefits, childcare, development programs, flexibility policies and more. It surveys the availability and usage of programs, as well as the accountability of managers who oversee them. In selecting this year’s winning companies, particular weight was given to representation of women and advancement programs.
On winning this award Nishant Kolgaonkar, Head HR SOTC said, “We are extremely proud to win this award. It is testimony to our commitment towards creating an environment that enables equal opportunity and supports exceptional talent regardless of gender. SOTC was recognised for its women friendly policies, providing a supportive environment, including women's recruitment, retention and advancement initiatives, safety and security measures, flexible work arrangements and maternity benefits, amongst others.
Development and retention of women employees with Gender diversity will continue to remain a top priority for us at SOTC.”
